You will not be able to use Portal password on 31st March

On Friday 31 March 08.00 – 20.00 GMT we will be upgrading the University of London International Academy Authentication Software.

This means that you will not be able to use your student portal password to access library resources. However you can still access library resources using an Athens account. If you don't have an Athens account, request one here.

You can access library resources using Athens either through Summon search or from your programme gateway. On your programme gateway, you can login using Athens by either clicking on the key symbol with an 'A', or on the three discs symbol.

If you are asked to select an institution, select 'University of London: External System (ATHENS)' or 'University of London Research Library Services' to login with Athens.

You can also see a list of the resources you can access with Athens on this page: https://auth.athensams.net/my/

During this time you will also not be able to access the Portal, VLE, your Student Records or the Student Advice Centre.

We anticipate that the upgrade will be completed by 20.00 GMT however there may be disruptions to access on Saturday 1 April throughout the day.

Please check back regularly for updates.

In preparation for the planned Authentication upgrade, you will not be able to reset or change your password from Thursday 30 March 10.00 GMT. This means that the ‘Forgotten your password’ link on the Portal log in page and the change password link on ‘My Account’ will be disabled. This functionality will be enabled once the Authentication upgrade has been completed.

This is an essential part of improving the digital services we offer our students and every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum.

We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.
