Frequently Asked Questions

Question:

What are inter-library loans?

Our answer:

If a journal article or book chapter isn't in the Online Library's collection, we might be able to acquire it as an inter-library loan from the British Library. If you would like to request an inter-library loan, please contact the Online Library team. In your enquiry, make sure you include:

  • The full details of the article or book chapter
  • Your 9-digit student number (SRN)
  • The module you are requesting it for

Despite the fact they are called 'loans', you will be able to keep the PDF of the article or chapter indefinitely.

Please note that we cannot guarantee that we will be able to acquire the article/chapter for you.
