Key resources

The content in the Online Library is stored in collections known as ‘databases’. The databases that contain material relevant to Accounting, Banking and Finance are described below. You can access them from the EMFSS Programme Gateway and search them individually if you wish.

You can also search across the databases using the Library’s ‘Summon’ search engine.

ABI/INFORM Global

ABI/INFORM is a database covering business, management, economics and a wide range of related fields. It provides abstracts of material from 1971 onwards and over 2,000 titles in full text.

Academic Search Complete

Academic Search Complete is a multi-disciplinary database with full text coverage of almost 4,700 scholarly publications, including full text coverage of over 3,600 peer-reviewed journals dating as far back as 1975. 

Business Source Premier

Full text coverage of nearly 7,600 business publications, including full text coverage of over 1,100 peer-reviewed, scholarly journals. Includes ‘Harvard Business Review’. Coverage back to 1922 in some cases.

European Newsstream

Contains full-text of a wide range of European newspapers.

IngentaConnect

IngentaConnect offers one of the most comprehensive collections of academic and professional research articles online - some 4 million articles from 11,000 publications.

JStor

JSTOR offers high-quality, interdisciplinary content,  including over one thousand leading academic journals across the humanities and social sciences.

Statista

Statista is an excellent resource for researching quantitative data, statistics and related information. It has statistics on a broad range of topics, including many industries and countries. Statista also provides a variety of reports and dossiers about more than 1000 topics. These include all top statistics on a specific topic compiled by experts, and they are regularly updated with new forecasts. Please note, Statista cannot currently be searched using the Summon search engine. Instead, login to Statista via the EMFSS gateway.

VLeBooks

Contains over 2000 e-books across all subject areas, including many core textbooks.

Passwords

Databases are password-protected. You can log in them using your the same username and password you use to access your Student Portal and Virtual Learning Environment.
