Recommended browsers

  • Firefox 2.0 or higher
  • Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher

Notes:

  1. We strongly recommend you use the Firefox browser, which may be downloaded for free from https://www.mozilla.com/
  2. If you use Internet Explorer 6.0 or 7.0 we suggest that you set your privacy options. To do this go to: Tools > Internet Options > Privacy .. click SITES (half way down the page).
  3. In the address of the website box add: https://idp.uolia.london.ac.uk and click Allow on the right.

Logging in from Summon

  • Clicking on an article in the Summon search results which is held by JSTOR will take you to the article's page. However you will not be able to read the full text yet. First, you need to click Login Through Your Library at the top of the page

  • Under Search by Institution Name on the left side of the page, find either:
    • University of London: Online Library (to login with your portal password), or
    • University of London: External System (ATHENS) (to login with your Athens account)

  • Click Login.

  • You will then be asked for either your Athens username and password, or your student portal username and password.

  • You will then be taken to the full text of the article.

TOP TIP: Select 'Register' in the top right corner to set up your own personal MyJSTOR account. By registering you can save your searches, and citations.
