"What makes tonight different from any other night?" you may ask yourself...well, the Online Library is sharing some great books about Passover traditions.
We wish a Happy Passover celebration, to any of our students out there, who are double dipping, biting bitters and reflectively reclining among family and friends. We hope you might enjoy a few of these interesting books from our collection.

The International Jewish Cook Book by Florence Kreisler Greenbaum
With more than 1600 recipes, what makes this a definitive 20th century Jewish cook book is the inclusion of recipes containing influences of European and American cuisine that follow Judaic traditional dietary adherences. Greenbaum includes inherited cultural recipes for Sabbath seders and Passover meals as well as tips on keeping kosher while entertaining guests with palates from the diverse range of the Jewish diaspora.

Jewish Fairy Tales and Legends by Gertrude Landa
Combining rabbinic lore and Jewish legend, Landa's book makes for easy and fun reading for young people and is a great way for parents to share their common cultural stories and legends with younger people. A perfect post seder, pre-bedtime read.

Jewish Portraits by Lady Katie Magnus
An interesting take on some of Judaism's historic cultural icons,. Written in the 19th century, this book documents poets and philosophers, rabbis and religious leaders. Recurrent themes of struggle, resilience and the identity of Jews in the west give insight into enduring cultural values at the cross roads of assimilation and cultural retention.
