Frequently Asked Questions

Question:

Does the Online Library have access to books from my course?

Our answer:

The Online Library provides access to books via VLeBooks, E-book Central and some other databases. In some cases chapters from books have been placed on your course VLE. We are constantly adding new books to the Online Library's collection.

You can access books from the Summon search results (you can limit the search results to books by using the filter on the left side) or log directly into your databases from your programme gateway.

If a book is referred to heavily in your study guide you should consider purchasing a copy. Second-hand textbooks are often available from online bookstores such as Amazon and Abe books (for second hand and out of print books).  Alternatively it is possible to purchase copies of single chapters of books from a document supply service such as the British Library's
