Referencing Styles

Each referencing style will require you to provide similar information such as the author, the year the item was published, the page number if there is a quotation, the title of the book or journal etc. However there will be a different format for how you present the information in text and in a bibliography, depending on which citation format you are required use. Please consult your student handbook for specific information about the referencing system required by your course.

Harvard is used by all courses.

OSCOLA is a referencing style designed for legal resources. It is used by Undergraduate Laws, Postgraduate Laws, Refugee Studies and Human Rights for citing legal materials.

The ACM referencing style is used by CIS and Creative Computing.
